The other, excerpts from her diary, is a literary deception by the Russian writer Aleksei Tolstoi and the historian P.E. Shchegolev (1927). However both documents are historically valuable, and include a great deal of interesting details about the last of the Romanovs. Also included are letter to Vyrubova from the members of the Russian royal family (pp. 211-266).
