Vera Vasil"eva is a well known criminal journalist who covered the cases about IuKOS: Leonid Nevzlin, M. Khodorkovskii, etc. This book is about the first victim of the current Russian repressive machine, almost forgotten and overshadowed by his boss, who became a hostage of the "big game". Aleksei Pichugin, the head of the MENATEP economic security department, later the head of the IuKOS analytical department, was accused as instigator of the assassination of the Gorins whose bodies were never found by investigators and at a place which never was determined. Pichugin was sentenced to 20 years in jail for the conversation which he allegedly had with the killers three years prior to when the alleged killing took place.
