This is a book of memoirs by the soviet military officer and politician Semen Mikhailovich Budennyi (1883-1973). He was a legendary hero of the Civil War, but failed as a military strategist in WWII. This book is about the history of the creation of the Red Army and its first organizers as well as about the struggle for the leadership in the army between Trotsky and other leaders. Budennyi naturally was on Stalin"s side against Trotsky. The book is interesting with details provided by the author as a participant and witness of these events. (0.265 kg.).
