This collection of paintings by Nina Talbot and poems by Esther Cohen tells the stories of several immigrants living and working in Brooklyn. Talbot has painted these people whom she meets on her daily rounds through the city. Cohen has taken their stories and woven them into simple and lovely poems. Laura Tolkow has turned all this into a wonderful book. The book is the catalog for Talbot"s art exhibit at the Brooklyn Historical Society, shown from Sept. 16, 2010, to Feb. 27, 2011.
