Digitally remastered edition of 2 original albums assembled on a single CD. Doug and Rodney Dillard left Missouri in the early 1960"s after garnering an audience by appearing with a number of bluegrass bands and on the Ozark Mountain Boys" radio program "Ozark Jubilee". They arrived in California and were quickly signed to a recording contract with Elektra Records by Jim Swift. Shortly thereafter, they also appeared on "The Andy Griffith Show" as The Darling Family. These two albums are treasured by fans, since the band was exclusively acoustic. Shortly after the release of the live album in 1964, they followed Bob Dylan"s lead by amplifying their instruments, much to the consternation of purists.
