Goldblade was formed by notorious music journalist and media commentator John Robb in 1994, following the demise of his previous band, punk legends The Membranes. In 1996 they released the Soul Power E.P. to widespread critical acclaim and unleashed their scorching live act across the country. Follow up single Strictly Hardcore dented the national chart and the band began touring across Europe, building a substantial fan base.
