Highly detailed 1/350 scale assembly model kit of the Battleship Tirpitz, a World War II era Bismarck class battleship of the German Kriegsmarine ("Navy") and the sister ship of the famous Battleship Bismarck. Battleships Tirpitz and Bismarck were the pride of the German Navy, and no doubt two of the most powerful warships ever produced. The presence of the Tirpitz or the Bismarck near Allied shipping lanes presented a serious threat to Allied convoys and required immediate counter measures, which tied up significant naval resources from the Allies. As powerful as she was, the Battleship Tirpitz saw limited action in the Northern Atlantic, and she was attacked and capsized by RAF Lancaster bombers near Tromso Fiord, Norway on November 12, 1944.
