Nona is fashioned of hard plastic and is partially posable. The remote control operates the twirls and spins of the body, but doesn"t affect the movement of the doll"s limbs, as "dancing" would suggest. Nona comes with two pairs of shoes--ballet pointe shoes, and sexy high heel sandals. Only the ballet shoes connect to the dance base. Because the doll"s costuming is so well coordinated and in keeping with contemporary fashions, the pointe shoes are a quirky choice of footwear for her stage performance. It would seem more in keeping, given her sparkling attire, to outfit her with the silver glittering sandals. The doll moves well through the song, and is highly responsive to the easily maneuverable remote control with its twirl and dance commands. A minor quirk is that the doll"s four primary poses are all balletic, which doesn"t seem to quite to be in keeping with her rock star image and the pop song she"s singing.
