Meticulous analog modeling emulation of the classic ARP ODYSSEY synthesizer. Virtual Vintage Analog Synthesizer. Macintosh & Windows compatible. Made by M-Audio.The Oddity from GForce is a meticulous emulation of the classic ARP Odyssey* popularized by artists as diverse as Herbie Hancock, Styx, Ultravox and Portishead. Modern improvements include programmability, preset morphing, host-syncable LFO and automation. Use it in stand-alone mode (Mac/PC) or as a plug-in for most popular host applications. Incredible Realism The people at GForce have a passion for one thing--incredibly realistic emulations of vintage keyboards. The Oddity is completely faithful in its reproduction of the original ARP Odyssey. In fact, it"s the only host-based reproduction available. It"s all here: dual VCOs with sync and pulse-width modulation, monophonic or duophonic control, noise generator, ring modulation, sample/hold, 4-pole 24db/octave resonant low-pass filter, high-pass filter, VCA, AR and ADSR envelopes and more. If you"ve worked with an Odyssey before, the Oddity is an inspiring blast of nostalgia (not to mention much more reliable). And if you"re new to it, this classic synth emulation is sure to bring you as much inspiration as it did the pioneering electronic musicians of the day. Modern Additions The Oddity has some features the original Odyssey designers never even dreamed of. For starters, it"s programmable--complete with 384 great presets. All parameters map to standard MIDI controllers as well, so you can get your hands on the sliders and switches via hardware for a more tactile experience. Speaking of sliders, the Oddity"s have GForce"s unique Flying Slider feature that allows you to throw a slider to the minimum or maximum setting. There"s even a unique Morphing feature that allows you to morph between two presets with timing you determine. Of course, the Oddity doesn"t go out of
