The South Pacific Rim, located in the Oceania region, is now more than ever before being rapidly integrated into the global economy. The forces of globalization, particularly information and communications technology are the driving factors. While the region is very well known as an exotic tourist destination, little is known about its laws and the potential facilitative commercial, trade and investment environment that exist in the region. International procurement and electronic commerce constitute one such important area.
