Sherlock Holmes uses his intellectual prowess, astute observation and deductive reasoning to solve difficult cases. A college friend's father once complimented him very highly on his deductive skills, setting him on a path towards becoming a detective. Starting with an independent study of chemistry, Holmes began developing a variety of curious side interests, all of which are bent towards making him superior at solving crimes. He is a shameless showman and often prepares dramatic traps staged to impress his friend Dr. Watson or one of Scotland Yard's legendary inspectors.
