Santa Claus is known by many names. The story of Santa begins with a boy child, named Nicholas. Nicholas was born during the third century in the village of Patara. This area on today's map is located around the southern coast of Turkey. Nicholas was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He was the only son of wealthy Christian parents named Epiphanius and Johanna.
