Advanced 3G Systems based-Cross Layer Schemes

Next generation wireless and mobile cellular networks are expected to support multimedia applications with different quality of service (QoS). User mobility and time-varying multipath fading of wireless channels make QoS provisioning a challenging issue in wireless and mobile networks. In order to provide service differentiation and QoS guarantee in such networks, many new technologies have been proposed. Wideband code division multiple access (WCDMA) is the major multiple access technology for the third generation (3G) and beyond mobile communication systems.
