Dance? It is a question we seldom hear anymore, an invitation to participate in a fun and exciting encounter-maybe in front of a hundred or in an intimate setting. To dance is something we no longer believe we can still do. We sometimes think that life teaches us to never expect anything good, that it buries our deepest hopes, dreams, and desires; and so they remain buried until we feel that hand reach out to us and hear that voice call out to us to dance for Him and with Him. It was David who captured my heart as I imagined him dancing as the Ark of the Covenant was brought into Jerusalem. David lost all self-consciousness as he danced before God, in full view of all, including his wife, who despised his lack of dignity as he was the king of the most powerful country of the known world at that time.
