This work consists almost entirely of biographical sketches of Revolutionary War officers and soldiers from the North Carolina counties of Burke, Cabarrus, Cleveland, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, and Wilkes, with considerable information on them and extensive genealogies of their families.
