THE Author, in the Introductory number, has stated " so fully his views with reswect to the objects of this work, and the resources he mplojed in composing it, as to render almost superfluous any further remarks on the subject. Being engaged in the pursuits of agricul-ture, and ardently devoted to them, he is enabled by his experience to stamp much weight on the leading principles of improvement contained in this work, viz. deep and I or zontal ploughing, the system" of inclosing, manuring, &c. &c.
