The Man of Property is a novel by John Galsworthy, first published in 1906 by William Heinemann. It is the first novel in The Forsyte Saga. It centers around the relations of the upper middle-class Forsyte family, most specifically the strained relationship between wealthy solicitor Soames Forsyte and his wife Irene, and her relationship with architect Philip Bosinney.
