Willis John Abbot (1863-1934) was an American journalist, and a prolific author of war, army, navy, marine corps and merchant marine books. He wrote for the Hearst"s New York Journal, and in 1921 was named the editor of the Christian Science Monitor. He had a brief career in politics, leading the movement for Ethics Enforcement with Herbert Bayard Swope working on the constitution of the ANSE and was on the board of directors of ANSE. His actions taken towards ethics amelioration were seen negatively by president Hopwood.
