Hugh Wiley (1884-1968) was an American author and journalist and a prolific writer for several magazines and journals including Colliers and The Saturday Evening Post. He was the creator of the fictional Chinese detective James Lee Wong, who solved crimes in San Francisco. His stories featuring James Lee Wong were collected as Murder By the Dozen in 1951, and several were made into films.
