POCO was born out of the fading success of Bufallo Springfield. After Neil Young and Stephen Stills left the band in 1968, guitarist/ vocalist Richie Furay and bass player Jim Messina were left alone to complete the final album. A multi-talented guitar player named Rusty Young was brought in to accompany the duo; drummer George Grantham and bassist/singer Andy Meisner were brought in and Poco was born. Over the years line-up shuffles were frequent, Poco lost various members to the Eagles and the Souther-Hillman-Furay Band, in spite of which they continued recording and releasing fine albums, from which they culled successful hit singles. Poco's current line-up consists of founding member and multi-instrumentalist Rusty Young, guitarist Paul Cotton, original drummer George Grantham and bassist Jack Sundrud. Their well-deserved reputation for incendiary live performances has long been a staple of the band’s legacy. Throughout it’s career, Poco has performed in stadiums, arenas, casinos, clubs, and county fairs throughout America, Europe and Japan. Live In The Heart Of The Night was recorded in 2004, in Nashville, and features all of their Country-Rock-Hymns. Richie Furay makes a guest appearance.
