"New Landscape Design" is a worldwide survey of developments in landscape architecture at the end of the twentieth and beginning of the twenty-first century. Sir Geoffrey Jellicoe foresaw landscape architecture as the "Mother of the Arts", and this overview reflects on five themes: the post-industrial, pattern-making, minimalism, allegory and meaning, and ecological diversity.
