Fabrications was organized simultaneously by four art institutions: The Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Wexner Center for the Arts, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Barcelona. It features full-scale architectural installations by 16 prominent architects which suggest alternatives to the way architecture is usually exhibited in the museum context.
