Salvador SalvadA? Nomdedeu smokes, drinks too much, and has a peculiar obsession of comparing incomparable British perfections with Valencian imperfection. One day in a drunken stupor, Salvador imagines that he is a referee at a Wimbledon final. His return to Valencia—and sobriety—both calms and shames him and when he tries to return to the normality of his family and job he finds himself in a place that is in no way British.
