The author shows the evolution of Rodchenko"s work from symbolism and cubofuturism to the total experiment, objectlessness, minimalism and design, analyzes his contribution to developing the constructivism concept in architecture and design, in typography and advertising, photography, cinema and theater, to the creation in the 1920"s of the domestic school of design, and emphasizes the artist"s compositional gift.
