David Sylvian knows no boundaries. In his solo career he has experimented with ambient music, collaborating with Robert Fripp and Holgar Czukay, and even briefly reforming Japan as Rain Tree Crow. His interest in religion, philosophy, art and literature led him to explore the realms of the avant garde. Marriage to Ingrid Chavez, raising a large family and a move to the US marked his final acceptance by the borderless international world of pop culture.
