This album of color photographs presents interiors of Russian palaces of the mid 18th century, late, mature or Elizavetian, baroque and early classical. The dazzling shine of gala halls by Rastrelli, refined colors of classical interiors by Charles Cameron, household goods of various forms and materials collected by the owners of the palace during the two centuries, were photographed in 1917 and published as an album for the first time.
