Colorado - A New Perspective has been compiled by Mr. Thompson"s Challenge to Excellence sixth grade students because of the increasing number of senseless violent tragedies in the United States and around the world. These Parker, Colorado, students, wanted to find a way to reach out to all people and the families that have been affected by these senseless tragedies everywhere. This book is dedicated in particular to the victims and families of the Aurora, Colorado, movie theater shooting and to the victims and families of the Newtown, Connecticut, school shooting.
