The purpose of this work is to provide guidelines for continuous compliance with Joint Commission standards relating to pharmacy. The work is instructional and also serves as a reference. When appropriate, the work describes methods for compliance with the standards and provides example forms for documenting compliance. When necessary, supplementary information assists in understanding the standards and fostering compliance.
