The official story of Edinoverie (Old Believers) started in 1800, but in fact it is much older as is Church dissent itself. Overcoming the dissent and the restoration of the unity of the Orthodox Church has always been a real objective in Russian society, but it has become even more important now. This is the first publication in Russia of works by the theologian and father of Edinoverie Archpriest Ioann Verkhovskii (1818-1891. The first and the only previous publication of his work was in Leipzig-Chernovtsy. (1.135 kg.)
