This Spiceberry Home Mongolian Dome grill is used for Korean, Japanese and Asian dishes, especially those like teppanyaki that require dry searing of meat. In western cuisine, you"ll find it perfect as a large steak grill. The concept is that the meat sears on the side of the dome while the grease is drained to the side. This gives a far better sear than a normal flat frying pan. It is used on a stovetop or, more traditionally, on a table top burner where everyone cooks their own. You"ll need to be sure you plan for a small container to catch the grease. This heavyweight cookware is made of cast iron which has been hand cast using a sand mold.
