Replace Your Existing Signal Antenna Replace your existing signal antenna with the new zBoost quad band antenna. The quad-band omni-directional signal antenna receives signals from multiple cell towers which is important for 4G signal strength. Remember that the coverage your zBoost provides is largely determined by the quality of signal received by the signal antenna, so if your best signal is one bar, your coverage will be limited to one small room. If necessary, to maximize signal coverage, place the new signal antenna where you find the strongest signal (up high or outside) and at least 3 feet above any metal. Also keep in mind that, for optimum performance, the signal antenna must be placed at least 15 vertical feet above the zBoost base unit. Connect Existing Coaxial Cable to the zBoost Signal Combiner Disconnect the coaxial cable from the existing booster base unit and connect it to the zBoost signal combiner. Existing RG-59 or RG-6 should not exceed 50 feet. If the cable length exceeds 50 feet, it should be replaced with RG-11. RG-11 should not exceed 100 feet.
