Longer than Tyrannosaurus rex, Spinosaurus is perhaps the largest predatory dinosaur known to science. It is best known for the tall bony spines on its back and its long, crocodile-like jaws that may have been good for catching fish. The first and most complete fossil skeleton of this giant meat-eater ever found was discovered in an Egyptian oasis in 1912, and then shipped to a museum in Munich, Germany.
