Johnny Cash was one of the most influential figures in country music history. His distinctive voice which neither sounded "Nashville" or "Rock "n" Roll" was to score him over 100 hit singles in the United States and made him into one of the country"s biggest stars of the 50s, 60s and 70s. The legendary Sun Studios was the birth place of his career. His first single was released in 1955 and his final one some 45 years later in 2000.
