Michele Zackheim"s debut novel is a fictional account of an American artist on the trail of the French writer, prominent lesbian, and cult heroine, Violette Leduc. Leduc was a contemporary of Simone de Beauvoir, Jean Paul Sartre, and Jean Genet.
