In an ever-changing world it is comforting to know that some things will always be the same, and in Little Penguin the reader gets the chance to explore the differences between things that alter daily and things that remain constant in life. As Little Penguin faces up to a world in which day changes to night, ice changes to water and even sad moods can change to happy moods, he can rest assured that his mother"s love is constant and will never change. The illustrations for this story are wonderful: very simple but in bright primary colours that make this book pure joy to read.
