Bluesrock mit ein paar ungewöhnlichen Ideen, jedoch keineswegs Erneuerer. Das Ungewöhnliche und Überraschende ist dahin. Natürlich hat diese Entwicklung ihr Gutes für die Imperial Crowns: mit diesem braven Gebräu werden sie eine Menge neuer Freunde finden /compared to their exceptional 2001 debut on the Dutch Me & My label, this is a pretty conventional release. I really loved enjoyed their original mix of blues, roots and rock styles. The Hymn Book ist pretty straight blues/rock with only a few unique ideas. Sort of a turn towards mainstream rock, a guarantee for thousands of new fans. L.A. based trio, J.J. HOLIDAY - gtrs, JIMMIE WOOD - voc/hca, BILLY SULLIVAN - drums, plus various bass players.
