With its extensive customization facilities and its ability to serve as a skeleton for fairly elaborate custom groupware, Outlook 2000 receives a good deal of attention from developers. Outlook 2000 VBA Programmer"s Reference explains--in both tutorial and reference form--how Outlook can be manipulated to best suit you or your company"s needs. The majority of this book employs a tutorial to examine the structure of the Outlook object model. The book approaches one object at a time--presenting the properties, methods, and events of each--along with some commentary and illustrative code. It also includes an introduction to the general structure and syntax of Outlook VBA programs, plus a couple of complete applications that call on several aspects of the VBA object model. Outlook 2000 VBA Programmer"s Reference concludes with a compact reference to the Outlook 2000 object model. It"s complete and provides useful descriptions of each property, method, and event, but it suffers from the same formatting problem as the other books in this series. When an object description extends beyond one page, it"s not possible to tell which object is being documented without flipping back to the beginning of the entry. --David Wall
