J. Dennis O"Moore (Mickey Rooney) is on a train trip out West to visit his brother Patrick (Robert Stack). While on the train, he meets Texas Ranger Joe Walter (Robert Preston) who informs him that his brother is a wanted outlaw and that he is assigned to track him down.
