The official story is that like Kohntarkhosz Anteria, Emenhntehtt Re (note: I"ve left many umlats left off the title) was a major, long-form work. It was part of a trilogy along with Kohntarkhosz and K.A. and was written circa in the early/mid 1970s, but never recorded. Unlike K.A., a very good portion all of the parts have appeared on various albums over the years. So, it"s hard for a non Kobaian to know if the official story is true or if the story is just a way to make a new, major statement without actually having to write a completely new work. Having said all of that, this is MAGMA for stoh"s sake and it isn"t like they are exactly cranking out new albums; this is only the second newly recorded work since the band was "reactivated" in the mid/late 90"s. The band has really turned into a great unit and this is a cranking performance. IMO, Magma are truly a special band - a band that has created it"s own genre within the adventurous rock field - and like any of their major works, this is a great listen and comes highly recommended. Packaged in a really nice digipack including a booklet with the entire libretto, so you can memorize all the words and sing along without looking, just like I did with my A&M copy of Mekanik Destruktiw Kommandoh that included the libretto when I was in High School. It comes with a 57" minute DVD entitled "Phases", which is a "making of" type DVD and which has some interesting/amusing bits
