Great b&w photographs with label and album cover reproductions make this a great book. The choice of tracks, however, is rather disappointing as it those tracks you have from so many other collections all over again. A few more rarities could have made all the difference. On the other hand, the reproduction quality is excellent. Eine ausführliche chronologische Darstellung der Geschichte der Doo-Wop-Musik wird mit seltenen S/W-Fotos und Reproduktionen von Labels und LP-Covern angereichert. Im Vergleich zum vorzüglichen Buch enttäuscht jedoch die Auswahl der Titel auf den beigefügten 3 CDs, denn es sind die Doo-Wop-Hits, die der Sammler aus zahllosen anderen Zusammenstellungen ohnehin schon hat. Einige Raritäten hätten dem Projekt gutgetan. Andererseits hat der Anfänger alle historisch bedeutsamen Titel auf einen Schlag.
